TA'MALAyuHilangDiDUNIA - Memadam kebakaran telah dilaporkan berhampiran
dengan lapangan terbang Donetsk manakala serangan sedang didengar di bandar
Mariupol. Pihak berkuasa bandar menyalahkan pemberontak untuk keganasan, yang
mengatakan tentera Kiev telah melancarkan serangan meriam terhadap kedudukan
mereka.
Menembak sekali-sekala dan tembakan meriam telah
dilaporkan berhampiran dan di bandar Ukraine tenggara Mariupol walaupun
gencatan senjata itu, dengan kedua-dua pasukan mempertahankan diri tempatan dan
Ukraine tentera tentera menuduh satu sama lain melanggar gencatan senjata.
Reuters memetik seorang pegawai Ukraine tidak
dinamakan berkata terdapat serangan meriam di Mariupol, yang pihak kuasa-kuasa
Kiev menduduki pada masa ini.
Seorang wanita telah meninggal dunia di hospital
akibat serangan semalaman di Mariupol, menjadikan kematian pertama perempuan
sejak gencatan senjata berkuat kuasa pada hari Jumaat, pegawai-pegawai tempatan
berkata dalam satu kenyataan.
Satu lagi tiga penduduk turut cedera apabila
pemberontak melepaskan tembakan ke atas sebuah pusat pemeriksaan kerajaan
diadakan di pinggir timur bandar, kata mereka.
Sementara itu, saksi memberitahu agensi berita
Itar-TASS bahawa tentera Ukraine di Mariupol adalah berkumpul dan menerima
bantuan.
Menteri Pertahanan Republik Rakyat Donetsk itu,
Vladimir Kononov, telah memberi amaran bahawa jika provokasi bersenjata dari
tentera Ukraine tidak berhenti, angkatan tentera Republik berhak untuk
melepaskan tembakan sebagai balasan.
"Kuasa-kuasa Ukraine terus serangan kedudukan
kita. Nampaknya [Presiden] Poroshenko tidak mengawal tenteranya sepenuhnya.
Tujuan gencatan senjata itu adalah untuk Kiev untuk berkumpul semula dan
melancarkan serangan satu.
Kami sudah bersedia untuk ini, "kata Kononov.
"Jika provokasi terus, saya akan dipaksa untuk mengeluarkan suatu perintah
untuk membalas dengan kekuatan mematikan," Kononov memberitahu RIA.

Firefighting has been reported near Donetsk
airport while shelling is being heard in the city of Mariupol. The city
authorities blame rebels for the violence, who say Kiev troops have launched
artillery strikes against their positions.
Sporadic shooting and artillery fire have been
reported near and in the southeastern Ukrainian city of Mariupol despite the
ceasefire, with both local self-defense forces and Ukrainian military troops
accusing each other of breaching the truce.
Reuters cited an unnamed Ukrainian officer saying
there has been an artillery attack on Mariupol, which Kiev forces are occupying
at the moment.
A woman has died in hospital as a result of
overnight shelling in Mariupol, making hers first death since the ceasefire
came into force on Friday, local officials said in a statement. Another three
residents were also wounded when rebels opened fire on a government-held
checkpoint at the eastern edge of the city, they added.
Witnesses meanwhile told the Itar-TASS news agency
that Ukrainian troops in Mariupol are regrouping and receiving reinforcements.
The defense minister of the Donetsk People’s
Republic, Vladimir Kononov, has warned that if armed provocations from the
Ukrainian troops do not stop, the armed forces of the Republic reserve the
right to open fire in return.
“Ukrainian forces continue shelling our positions.
It appears that [President] Poroshenko does not control his troops in full. The
aim of the ceasefire is for Kiev to regroup and launch an offensive. We’re
ready for this,” Kononov said. “If provo-cations continue, I’ll be forced to
issue an order to reciprocate with deadly force,” Kononov told RIA.
There have been reports about skirmishes near
Donetsk international airport, where a group of armed men of unknown national
identity has been holed up for quite some time.
Rockets destroyed several houses in the village of
Spartak, north of Donetsk, reported RT’s Paula Slier who was working at the
site when the attack began.
“Driving past entire rows of houses that have gone
up in smoke,” she twitted. Fire brigades were putting out flames while the
locals assisted them by pouring buckets of water, which sometimes made no
difference as the shelling left almost nothing.

RT’s crew had to leave the village for security
reasons. “Driving like mad” to escape possible renewal of the shelling, they
returned to Donetsk city center. “Life here carries on as normal,” Slier wrote
on Sunday.
A militia checkpoint in Zuevka to the north of
Donetsk has suffered an assault, which resulted in casualties.
Several settlements as well as the Donetsk suburbs
of Avdeevka and Makeevka all suffered artillery strikes, with at least one
casualty reported. Ukrainian forces attempted to seize Pervomaisk settlement
but were repelled, Donetsk rebels said on their website.
The Ukrainian army used tanks, mortars, cannons
and Grad multiple launchers to deliver strikes on militia-controlled
settlements, the rebels claim. A number of households have been destroyed.
The militia artillery returned fire, eliminating
several Ukrainian gun squads.

The Deputy PM of the self-proclaimed Donetsk
People’s Republic, Andrey Purgin, told RIA news agency that despite
provocations by the Ukrainian troops, the self-defense militia is going to
“stick firmly to the Minsk agreements and will not put arms to use.”
The militias say that on Sunday morning Ukrainian
forces were concentrating a large number of troops and military hardware near
Gorlovka, some 47 kilometers from the city of Donetsk. A long convoy of
military vehicles allegedly traveled the road connecting the Mironovka and
Debaltsevo settlements.

Self-defense militia forces intelligence has
shared information that the Ukrainian troops concentrated near Donetsk possess
at least 47 tanks, 15 Shilka armored self-propelled anti-aircraft vehicles, 7
Tochka-U (NATO designation – Scarab) tactical ballistic missile complexes, 6
Grad multiple rocket launch complexes and one Smerch heavy multiple rocket
launcher. This information has, however. not been verified.
